How to export your files

FILE FORMAT

- 16-24 bit/44.1-192 kHz
- WAV, AIFF, or Pro Tools files only
- include rough mixes and reference mixes

Export procedure

- render all tracks from the start of the song (same duration)
- separate sounds into one instrument per track
- compress all files into a single zip file
- Accept Pro Tools files (.ptx, .ptf)

NOTE: These are general guidelines for each DAW. You may how to investigate how to export files on your DAW, as each version can have a slightly different method

Pro Tools

1. Choose File -> Save Copy In
2. Check off “All Audio Files” and “Session Plug-In Settings Folder”. Hit “OK.” Now you will select where to save the file
3. Select a location and click save
4. Go to that location and compress (zip) the folder you just made
5. Send us the compressed file

Logic

1. Click on File, Export, All Tracks as Audio Files
2. Check “New Folder” and “Bypass effect plug-ins” to save the dry files in one folder. Also select 44.1k or 48k and .wav files in this section
3. Click the save button to export
4. Compress the "Bounces" folder (in the session folder) and send to us

GarageBand

1. Load the song to be mixed
2. Disable all automation, plugins, etc.
3. Solo the first track and select “Export Song to Disk” from the hare pull-down menu.
4. Make sure that the Compress box is left unchecked, click Export, and name the file according to the solo track’s contents.
5. Repeat steps 3 and 4 until all tracks are exported.
6. Compress resulting folder and send to us.

Cubase

1. Highlight all tracks in the arrange window
2. Go into Audio > Bounce Selection. Tracks will now be saved individually into the project audio folder
3. Find the bounced files, and store them in a separate folder
4. Compress this folder and send to us
